Emma Scalzo is a lawyer admitted to the Paris Bar. She practises primarily in criminal law, international criminal law, media law and civil and commercial litigation.
She holds a Master's degree in International Criminal Justice from the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas, as well as an LL.M. in International and Comparative Law from Trinity College Dublin.
Her career has been shaped by a commitment to the defence of human rights and fundamental freedoms, strengthened by several experiences within non-governmental organisations in France and internationally.
Before joining BHR Avocats in 2025, she trained in criminal law practice at a number of Paris law firms (Vigo, Goldman & Quinquis Avocats, WJ Avocats, among others), and gained professional experience within the Crimes against Humanity and War Crimes Unit of the National Counter-Terrorism Prosecution Office.
She works in French and English.
